Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Provides Vehicles Meeting Euro-5 Emissions Standard

In compliance with Decision No. 49/2011/QD-TTg, that newly manufactured, assembled and imported vehicles must apply Tier-5 emissions standard (Euro-5) from January 1^st, 2022.

Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam starts delivering car models with Euro-5 standard to distributors in Vietnam from June 10^th, 2022.

Euro-5 emissions standard stipulates emission limit allowed to be released into the environment during vehicle operation. This standard is currently applying in many countries around the world for environmental protection and public health.

The Tier-5 or Euro-5 emissions standard was officially introduced in September 2009, continues to tighten emission limit and requires more advanced technology than the previous version.

Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam delivers imported vehicles following Euro-5 standards, including petrol cars such as Xpander, Attrage and diesel cars such as Triton and Pajero Sport (domestic assembled Mitsubishi Outlander still follows Euro-4 emissions standard as prescribed).

Customers are required to use the right fuel for vehicles with Euro-5 emissions standard, especially for diesel models, as well as avoiding using types of fuel that do not meet the corresponding standards, this faces the potential risk of affecting engine performance – durability, causing white smoke and decreasing fuel efficiency, etc.

Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam expects to put a warning label on the correct use of Euro-5 fuel inside the fuel tank cap and on the outside of diesel vehicles (Pajero Sport, Triton), meanwhile, updating the recommendation of using the correct Euro-5 fuel in the Vehicle Owner’s Manual so that customers can easily distinguish and use the correct fuel accordingly to ensure safety during vehicle operation.

Warranty terms and maintenance policy remain unchanged for vehicles under Euro-5 standard.
