Job Descriptions

1. Trade Compliance & Regulations Management

  • Studying new regulations, Free Trade Agreement (FTAs), special customs procedure and consulting to related Section/Department for abnormal import-export shipment cases.
  • Work directly with customs officers to resolve issues and provide relevant reports to Managers regarding HS code reviews and Tax Amendment for Customs Declaration (AMAs) requested by customs.

2. Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain and update the HS code master data for spare parts, Manufacturing Material Order (MMOs), Completely Knocked Down (CKD) items, and Completely Built-Up (CBU) items (classification and amendment).
  • Doing regular reports for Managers or/and related Departments in relation to tax estimation (CKD, CBU), demurrage/detention/storage control (CKD), expense summary for all types of shipments (spare parts/MMOs, CKD, CBU, Returnable Racks), EXIM KPI, etc.

3. EXIM Logistics and Process Management

  • Ensure all processes within your team adhere to regulations and established procedures.
  • Assist team members in resolving problems related to EXIM shipments, including HS code classification, import procedures, tax & customs regulations, specialization inspection regulations, and shipping issues (specific to CBU, spare parts/MMOs, CKD, and Returnable Racks).
  • Supervise, evaluate, and enhance the performance of service providers involved in EXIM logistics based on documented Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam’s (MMV) processes and requirements.
  • Assist Procurement Department in the annual bidding process to select forwarding service providers for EXIM operations.

4. Others

  • Implement requirements related to ISO standards.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as per requirements from Line Manager.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree majoring in Logistics/ Supply Chain/ Foreign Trade.
  • Experience: At least 3 years in Import-Export. Experiences in FDI/Automobile company is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Import-Export procedure, HS code classification, regulations, FTAs (especially within ASEAN, with Japan), Incoterms.
  • Required skills:
    • Good English proficiency (all 4 skills, especially good at speaking & writing)
    • Effective presentation, interpersonal communication & negotiation skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point,…)
    • Logical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Meticulous, highly attentive to details
  • Other (if any):
    • “Can-do” attitude and proactive mindset.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a part of the team.
