ALL-NEW TRITON INTRODUCES NEW PREMIUM VARIANT – THE CHAMPION OF AXCR

Ho Chi Minh City, September 14, 2026 – Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam officially introduces the new Mitsubishi Triton Premium, featuring value-driven upgrades in equipment, powertrain, drive modes, and attractive competitive pricing. Inheriting the rugged DNA of the back-to-back Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) champion, the new Triton Premium delivers powerful, versatile all-terrain performance while ensuring high cost-efficiency and optimized initial cost.

POWERFUL BEAST MODE EXTERIOR

With the Beast Mode design language, the Mitsubishi Triton possesses a commanding and highly athletic appearance. The large honeycomb grille, combined with a square front bumper and a matching rear bumper skid plate, delivers a bold impression. Bold character lines extend along the body, paired with the large fender flares and large, anti-slip side steps. The modern T-shaped LED projector headlights, integrated with L-shaped LED daytime running lights enhance both aesthetics and optimizing visibility for the driver.

The new Premium variant upgrades with synchronized, distinctive, black-finished details on the side mirrors, door handles, and alloy wheels.

The Mitsubishi Triton features class-leading overall dimensions of 5,320 x 1,865 x 1,795 mm, a ground clearance of 222 mm, and a turning radius of just 6.2 m. The model not only delivers capable performance across diverse terrains but also easily maneuvers through urban streets.

SPACIOUS CARGO BED, EASY FOR TRANSPORTING GOODS

The cargo bed features dimensions of 1,470 x 1,545 x 520 mm and a large payload capacity, ready to flexibly meet various cargo transportation needs.

A bed liner equipped with drainage channels and convenient luggage tie-down hooks come standard on the vehicle. The cargo bed height of 821 mm, along with anti-slip steps on both sides, enables quick and safe loading and unloading of items.

The new Premium variant is supplemented with a tailgate lift assist damper, allowing for easy and convenient opening and closing of the tailgate when arranging cargo onto the vehicle.

COMFORTABLE AND CONVENIENT INTERIOR

The Mitsubishi Triton applies the “Horizontal Axis” design concept and the “Mitsubishi Touch” philosophy, delivering class-leading spaciousness and convenience for all customers.

The dashboard area and center console expand horizontally with premium soft-touch leather wrapping. A high-mounted 9-inch infotainment screen is paired with logically arranged physical buttons, connecting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Behind the steering wheel is an integrated 7-inch digital instrument cluster providing intuitive operational information.

The air conditioning system features a Max Cool mode for rapid cooling, combined with seperate air vents for the rear seats. The model is equipped with 19 versatile storage spaces and 6 charging ports of various types, strategically located across all seating positions.

Rear-seat legroom reaches up to 546 mm and shoulder width reaches 1,479 mm, delivering maximum comfort for passengers.

SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY

The core and prominent upgrade on the new Triton Premium variant comes from the renowned Super Select 4WD-II drive system combined with 7 flexible drive modes, affirming its capability to conquer diverse terrains.

• Super Select 4WD-II drive system: Offers 4 standard drive modes (2H, 4H, 4HLc, 4LLc) along with an electronic rear differential lock activated with just a touch of a button. Notably, the 4H mode (full-time 4WD system) allows speed capability up to 100 km/h, significantly enhancing road grip and safety.
• 7 diverse Drive Modes: Normal, Eco, Gravel, Snow, Mud, Sand, and Rock.

The smooth interaction between the drive modes and the terrain modes allows the driver to take full control across various road conditions, from urban streets to complex off-road terrains.

The power of the Triton Premium comes from the 2.4L MIVEC Turbo Diesel engine – meeting Euro 5 standards, producing a maximum output of 184 PS and a peak torque of 430 Nm.

In terms of safety, the new Triton Premium adds the class-exclusive Active Yaw Control (AYC) system, which applies appropriate braking force to each wheels for stable and safe cornering. The safety lineup is completed with 7 airbags, a rear camera, Active Stability and Traction Control (ASTC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Speed Limiter (LIM), and Cruise Control.
