On June 13, 2022, following the success of its previous model with the total sales of nearly 60,000 units after nearly 4 years of introduction, Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam officially launches the Mitsubishi Xpander 2022, including 3 new upgraded versions: Xpander Cross, Xpander AT Premium, Xpander AT, in addition to the current MT one.
Xpander 2022 with 20 upgraded features is expected to bring a more complete and comprehensive experience, through the intersection between the luxurious interior and exterior design style of the Crossover, in combination with practical, yet sophisticated utility equipment and smooth operation of an ideal family car.
The Crossover of Mitsubishi Xpander 2022 comes from strong design lines that combine T-Shape LED lights and impressive 17-inch wheels. With solid chassis, the overall length is increased by 120mm, and the ground clearance is increased to 225mm, providing flexible operation on a variety of terrain conditions.
Another charm of Xpander 2022 also comes from brand new two-tone style interior, taplo surface with the horizontal design “Horizontal Axis” creates a spacious and luxurious interior along with soft, high-class materials on the taplo and door decoration, exuding a sense of sophistication and class.
Xpander roominess with 3 rows of seats, provides space optimization with 7 flexible seating modes (folding 2nd and 3rd row seats according to usage needs).
Mitsubishi Xpander 2022 offers a better and more comfortable driving experience on every journey thanks to a valuable upgrade in operating details: Stiffer and more stable suspension with an increase in the size of shock absorbers, forks, inner valve and front and rear fork springs have also been adjusted to maximize suspension efficiency; RISE chassis made of super-strength steel, improving the stability of vehicle movement; fine-tuned gearbox to match the needs of customers; superior soundproofing materials; cutting edge equipment with electronic handbrake, automatic brake hold; extra comfort with front seat armrests with integrated tissue compartment, USB charging ports for 2 rows of seats, heat-absorbing leather seats.
A tough, dynamic and extremely Crossover appearance
The two X-shaped chrome plated bars on the front are large and sharp, emphasizing the modern features of the Dynamic Shield design. The front bumper spreads horizontally creates a powerful impression. T-shaped headlights are incorporated with LED technology to secure good forward visibility. New positioning lights and integrated turn signals complete the youthful appearance of the front.
Sturdy and stunning 17-inches wheels with two tone, borderless design is given a sportier and more eye-catching look. The increase in size combined with good approach and exit angles make it easier to overcome challenging terrain.
In alignment with the front lights, the T-Shape taillights become a subtle highlight for the rear. In addition, the thick trunk door and wide rear bumper give a feeling of solidness.
Overall, Xpander 2022 model provides the strong impression of Crossover with a length of 4,595 mm, extended by 120 mm compared to the previous models with the front overhang by 75 mm and the rear overhang by 45 mm, the vehicle height raised by 20 mm.
Brand new interior – More refined, more luxurious
Mitsubishi Xpander 2022 conquers customers with a stylish and segment-leading roominess, high-class and high practicality interior. Following the “Omotenashi” philosophy – symbolizing the Japanese spirit, Xpander 2022 aims to fully meet the practical needs of customers.
The design of Mitsubishi Xpander 2022 interior applies “Horizontal Axis” concept – identifying the latest design style of Mitsubishi for the future product generation with taplo surface, center console spreading horizontally – with the concept of Horizontal Axis combining high-quality materials that provides a feeling of spaciousness, bringing comfort to the family.
Xpander 2022 interior includes 2 tones of elegant black – brown (AT Premium) and sporty black – navy blue (Xpander Cross). In addition to dedicate and stunning design, the quality of the interior space is upgraded by using soft pads with synthetic leather and real stitching for the armrest and door trim. Dashboard details are also refined to create a unified sophistication.
Softer, synthetic leather materials with heat absorption reduction feature are used for the seats in the car, bringing comfort to users in all weather conditions, especially in hot weather. This upgrade also reduces wear and makes the seats easier to clean.
The Max Cool function first appears on the newly designed digital air conditioning control cluster, providing more subtle and easier operation experience for Xpander 2022. When the Max Cool mode is turned on, air conditioner system immediately switches to the maximum wind level and the lowest temperature to promptly cool the inside space. The rear air-conditioning cluster is also refined with a silver control button as well as stylish air vents.
Automatic electric parking brake (Auto-EPB) and Brake Auto Hold function are newly adopted, enabling more convenient and safer driving experience.
For an even more comfortable interior, the convenient storage space is further enhanced for greater ease-of-use. The second-row seat armrest is redesigned with a large-capacity cup holder, and an armrest that can store tissue boxes and four 600ml plastic bottles is newly added in the front seats for convenience. To enhance comfort in the rear seats, Type-A and Type-C USB charging outlets are installed on the back of the center console, compatible for all modern portable electronic devices.

A flexible, smooth and extremely Crossover operation capability
The 3-spoke steering wheel is newly designed to be user-friendly and create a better grip and driving experience. The ability to return or steer accurately from the Xpander 2022 steering wheel gives the driver confidence on every trip.
The suspension system has been upgraded to improve controllability and smooth operation on all roads: the size of the fork and valve inside the fork, the front and rear fork springs are also enhanced for better stability. Xpander 2022 ensures quietness inside the cockpit through soundproofing and noise-absorbing materials fitted around the car.
The Xpander 2022’s high ground clearance of 225 millimeters is secured – a top-level in its class, by raising the vehicle height by 20 millimeters compared to the previous model. The ground clearance of 225 mm gives the ability to wade up to 400 mm and expand the user’s field of view. In addition, the 4-speed automatic transmission is fine-tuned to ensure smooth and flexible operation, and effortless acceleration on all roads.
The RISE chassis is the “core” to help Xpander car always maintain optimal safety. Constructed of super-strength steel, the RISE chassis both limits the impact of external forces on passengers inside the vehicle in the event of a collision, while providing stability when cornering, on bumpy roads or moving at high speed.

4.2 Rights and options regarding to direct marketing
