RECALL PROGRAM: MITSUBISHI XPANDER AND XPANDER CROSS – INSPECTION AND REPAIR OF THE 2nd SEAT RECLINER RACHET

Starting from May 18, 2026, Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam (MMV) officially launches a recall and customer care program for Xpander and Xpander Cross owners. This program has been reported to the Vietnam Register and will be conducted completely free of charge at authorized dealers nationwide.

Program details

The program aims to inspect and/or replace the 2nd seat recliner rachet on Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross vehicles officially assembled, imported, and distributed by MMV.

On certain affected vehicles, the 2nd seat recliner rachet may develop cracks, leading to a reduction in the parts’ structural strength.

To date, no incidents related to this issue have been reported in the market. However, to ensure a comfortable and safe experience, customers are encouraged to bring the vehicles to authorized dealers for a free inspection and/or replacement of the seat recliner rachet if the vehicle belongs to the affected lots.

From May 18, 2026, to May 18, 2029.

The program will be carried out quickly and free of charge across MMV’s service network; the inspection and/or replacement takes approximately 0.3 to 2.5 hours per vehicle.

Customers can schedule an appointment at the nearest authorized dealer or via the Mitsubishi Connect+ app to minimize waiting time.
